Two songs from Raihan Rafi’s film Toofan—Lage Uradhura and Dushtu Kokil—have set new YouTube viewership records, each surpassing one billion (100 crore) views. The film stars Shakib Khan.
Lage Uradhura, released on May 28 last year, features a chorus by Sharif Uddin, lyrics by Russel Mahmud, and music by Pritom Hasan, who also provided vocals alongside Devshri Antra. Combined views across Chorki and SBV channels exceed 44.95 million.
Dushtu Kokil, released on June 20, features vocals, lyrics, and music by Akash Sen, with Dilshad Nahar Kona also lending her voice. The video shows Mimi Chakraborty performing in a pan shop, catching Shakib Khan’s character’s attention. Combined views on Chorki and SBV channels surpass 50 million.
Both songs went viral internationally, drawing praise from YouTubers and content creators, including those who review Hindi and South Indian films. They also gained traction on social media platforms like YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and TikTok, with millions of audience comments.
Singer Kona expressed joy over the overwhelming response, noting that performing live and seeing audience enthusiasm was deeply rewarding. She added that while view counts are not the primary goal, the record-breaking views reflect the genuine love of the audience.
