BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman visited Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday night to see his ailing mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, party officials said.
According to BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan, Tarique Rahman arrived at the hospital at around 9:40pm. This marked his second visit to Evercare Hospital since returning to Bangladesh on Thursday after nearly 17 years abroad.
Shortly after his arrival in the country on Thursday, Tarique Rahman had also gone to the hospital following a brief address to party leaders and supporters at the 300-Foot Road area in the capital.
