BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman on Sunday signed nomination papers as the party’s candidate for the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies for the upcoming 13th National Election.

The signing took place on Sunday evening at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office in the presence of the party coordinators of the two constituencies.

Earlier in the day, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s private secretary ABM Abdur Sattar collected the nomination form for Dhaka-17 on behalf of Tarique from the office of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharf Uddin Ahmed Choudhury at around 11:10 am, BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said.

On 21 December, the BNP collected a nomination form for Tarique Rahman from the Bogura-7 constituency ahead of the upcoming election.

Party sources said Tarique’s nomination papers for both the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies will be submitted on Monday.
