A group of miscreants attacked a human chain formed by traders against extorsion at Karwan Bazar, forcing the deployment of police and Army personnel to control the situation.
The incident that led to a chase and counter-chase took place around 11:30AM on Monday in front of the Kitchen Market at Karwan Bazar.
The traders alleged that they were forming a peaceful human chain there. Suddenly, a group of miscreants attacked on them, leaving several traders injured.
A tense situation has been prevailing around the Karwan Bazar area. Police and Army personnel are there.
The traders claimed they were attacked in the presence of police. They warned that they will shut down their shops and take on streets if Abdul Rahman is not arrested within the next 24 hours.
