The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has rescheduled two Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 matches in observance of national mourning and in honour of former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
The first match of the day between Sylhet Titans and Chattogram Royals was postponed a couple of hours before the toss following the sudden death of Begum Zia.
The second match, featuring Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders, was also called off earlier in the day.
BCB director Iftekhar Rahman Mithu said both matches will now be played on Wednesday, with the first game set to begin at 3:00 PM and the second at 8:00 PM.
He added that Wednesday had initially been designated as a rest day under the tournament’s original schedule.
