Alhaj Nuruzzaman Liton, BNP-nominated parliamentary candidate for Jashore-85/1 constituency and general secretary of Sharsha Upazila BNP, paid a ziarat at the grave of late Abdul Mannan, former BNP chairman of Dihi Union under Sharsha Upazila.

On Tuesday (January 6, 2026), he visited the grave and offered special prayers seeking forgiveness for the departed soul.

Leaders from different tiers of the BNP were present on the occasion. Among those in attendance were Professor Mohammad Shafiqul Islam; Akhtaruzzaman, organising secretary of Benapole Poura BNP; Amirul Islam, president of Sharsha Upazila Krishak Dal; Oliar Rahman, president of Dihi Union BNP; its general secretary Abdur Jabbar; organising secretary Salauddin Ahmed; joint secretary Kamal Hossain; ward BNP president Selim Hossain; member secretary of Sharsha Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Selim Hossain Asha; joint convener of Benapole Poura Jubo Dal Mir Alam; and convener of Benapole Poura Chhatra Dal Ariful Islam Arif.

The leaders recalled the political contributions of the late Abdul Mannan with deep respect and pledged to work in unity to uphold and realise his ideals.
