BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Tuesday held a meeting with party leaders and activists from Dhaka-17 constituency to assess election preparations and provide guidance on voter outreach.

The meeting took place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan.

During the session, Tarique Rahman exchanged views with leaders and activists from Banani thana, one of the four thanas under Dhaka-17 constituency.

Members of BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council, Abdus Salam and Dr Farhad Halim Donor, were present at the meeting, along with Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna, Mohila Dal General Secretary Sultana Ahmed and Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasiruddin Nasir.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Nasiruddin Nasir said the discussion was part of a series of organisational meetings being held in preparation for the upcoming election.

He added that Tarique Rahman instructed party leaders to identify key problems faced by voters in Dhaka-17 and assured them that BNP would present these issues to the electorate along with clear commitments to address them.

Nasir also said that another election-related meeting with Tarique Rahman was scheduled for later in the afternoon.
