Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) southern region Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah has expressed deep concern over the lack of justice in the killing of Shaheed Osman Hadi, calling three weeks after the brutal killing of Osman Hadi, justice remains pending.

Speaking at a milad and doa event held on Wednesday at Fatehabad union of Debidwar upazila in Cumilla district, to commemorate Osman Hadi, Hasnat Abdullah said, “Hadi was among those who fearlessly stood up against Indian-backed thuggery. Yet, even three weeks after his martyrdom, his killers have not been brought to justice. This is a shame for our nation. We demand justice for Hadi.”

He criticized the country’s intelligence and law enforcement agencies for failing to act effectively after Shaheed Hadi was shot dead publicly on January 12, with the perpetrators reportedly escaping across the border.

He contrasted this with past times under authoritarian rule, when security agencies would immediately intervene even if BNP-Jamaat announced a minor program.

Hasnat Abdullah also alleged ongoing Indian interference in country’s politics, saying, “India has long decided who should run our country, appointing agents like a bank assigns agents. When they failed, the agent was replaced. We will remain united against Indian thuggery, corruption, extortion and the lack of justice.”

On the issue of parliamentary nominations for loan defaulters, he criticized major political parties, saying, “We had expectations of change, but they are nominating people who default on loans and public funds. Those who fail to repay bank or public money cannot be trusted to serve the people. Their presence in parliament sends the wrong message and they should feel ashamed.”

He urged voters to reject such candidates through ballot, emphasizing that NCP will work to ensure defaulters do not misuse public resources.
