Four individuals were killed and at least ten to twelve others injured after a passenger bus caught fire while moving on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway in Cumilla district on Friday.
The incident occurred around 12:45 PM in the Baniapara area of Daudkandi upazila after the bus reportedly lost control and burst into flames.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be known. Among the deceased were two children, one woman and one man.
Daudkandi Highway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Iqbal Bahar confirmed the incident.
