Benapole BNP organised a doa mahfil seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was held on Saturday (January 10) after Asr prayers at Hotel Sunroof in Benapole, with Benapole Poura BNP President Nazim Uddin presiding.

Jashore district BNP President Advocate Saberul Haque Sabu attended the programme as the chief guest.

Among the special guests were Jashore district BNP General Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon and BNP-nominated paddy sheaf candidate for 85 Jashore-1 constituency Alhaj Nuruzzaman Liton.

Others present included Benapole Poura BNP Vice-President Atikuzzaman Sonny, General Secretary Abu Taher Bharat, Organising Secretary Akhtaruzzaman, Sharsha upazila Jubo Dal Convener Mostafizoha Selim, Benapole Poura Jubo Dal Convener Mofizur Rahman Babu, Member Secretary Raihanuzzaman Dipu, Sharsha upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Shariful Islam Chayan, Senior Joint Convener Mohaiminul Sagar, Benapole Poura Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Shahidul Islam Shahid, Member Secretary Omar Faruk, Jashore district Krishak Dal convening committee member Mostafizur Rahman Babu, Benapole Poura Krishak Dal President Jasim Uddin and General Secretary Jamal Uddin, along with leaders and activists of BNP and its associate organisations.

Special prayers were offered seeking forgiveness for Khaleda Zia’s soul and peace, prosperity and welfare for the country and the nation. The doa mahfil was conducted by Maulana Md Abdullah.
