Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman on Sunday morning to discuss the country’s current political situation and the upcoming national parliamentary election.

The meeting was held at Jamaat ameer’s personal office, where the two leaders exchanged views on the overall political landscape and preparations for the forthcoming polls.

An administrative post on Nahid Islam’s official Facebook page later confirmed the meeting, describing it as a special discussion between the NCP convener and the Jamaat Ameer on key political issues, including election-related matters.

Earlier on Saturday, following a meeting with European Union Chief Election Observer Ivars Ijabs, Nahid told journalists that an announcement on the final seat allocation for the alliance ahead of 13th National Parliamentary Election would be made by January 12.
