Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have been deployed in front of the Election Commission (EC) building in the capital’s Agargaon area on Sunday.
BGB personnel were seen taking positions at the main gate of the EC building and surrounding areas in the afternoon.
BGB headquarters’ Public Relations Officer (PRO) Shariful Islam said the deployment was made to avert any untoward incident and ensure overall security.
Besides, police patrols have also been intensified in the area.
