Swiss ambassador meets Tarique Rahman

Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh Reto Renggli paid a courtesy call on BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman yesterday.

The meeting was held at the BNP Chairman’s political office in Gulshan in the evening.

During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland.

They also discussed the upcoming national elections and key policy issues during the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on the electoral process as well as the BNP’s policy priorities, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.

The Swiss Embassy reiterated Switzerland’s support for free, fair, credible and peaceful national elections in Bangladesh, underscoring the importance of reflecting the aspirations of the Bangladeshi people for a democratic, inclusive and prosperous future.

BNP Joint Secretary General and member of the BNP Chairperson’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee Humayun Kabir was present during the meeting.
