Govt appoints 102 magistrates for security oversight of BCS exams

The government has appointed 102 executive magistrates for security oversight of preliminary exams of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) on January 30.

The preliminary examination (MCQ type) of the 50th BCS will be held on January 30 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 92 educational institutions in the capital, according to a ministry statement issued on Sunday.

It said through the MCQ type, written and viva voce, candidates will be selected for recruitment of magistrates as well alongside officers for other cadres.

The public administration ministry statement said one executive magistrate would be on duty for each of the centres to maintain law and order and 10 would be at Public Service Commission’s (PSC) control room with magistracy power under Criminal Procedure Code, 1898 (CrPC).

The BCS preliminary examination will start at 10 AM and end at 12 noon on January 30.
