The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has once again raised gold prices in the domestic market, pushing the rate of 22-carat gold to a record high.
According to a notification issued on Wednesday, the price of 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 8,339per bhori, fixing the new rate at Tk 2,52,467 per bhori. The revised price will take effect from Thursday.
BAJUS said the latest adjustment was made due to a rise in the price of pure (tejabi) gold in the local market.
Considering the overall market situation, the association decided to revise gold prices accordingly.
With this increase, gold has reached its highest price ever in Bangladesh.
