Paddy sheaf candidate Liton must be made victorious by voting -Hasan Zahir, President

A large election rally was held at Pakshi Union Parishad Ground under Dihi Union No. 1 in Sharsha upazila of Jashore–85/1 constituency on Monday afternoon, aiming to ensure victory for the paddy sheaf symbol in the 13th National Parliamentary Election scheduled for January 26, 2026.

Addressing the rally as the chief guest, BNP-nominated candidate for the paddy sheaf symbol in the constituency, Alhaj Nuruzzaman Liton, said there is no alternative to the paddy sheaf to restore people’s rights and re-establish democracy. He expressed hope that voters would bring the BNP back to state power in the upcoming election.

The meeting was chaired by Dihi Union BNP President Oliar Rahman and moderated by Selim Hossain Asha, member secretary of Sharsha upazila Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal.

Sharsha upazila BNP President Abul Hasan Zahir attended as the main speaker. He urged leaders and activists to forget internal divisions and work unitedly to secure votes for the paddy sheaf, saying BNP’s return to power depends on electoral success under the party symbol.

Among the special guests was Alhaj Khairuzzaman Madhu, chief adviser of Sharsha upazila BNP.

Others present included senior joint general secretary of upazila BNP Advocate Mostafa Kamal Mintu; organising secretaries Ashraful Alam Babu and Salauddin Ahmed; upazila Krishak Dal President Amirul Islam; member secretary of Sharsha upazila Jubo Dal Imdadul Haque Imdad; and central Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal joint general secretary Saddam Hossain, along with leaders and activists from BNP and its associate bodies.

Leaders and activists at the rally expressed their firm commitment to ensuring the victory of BNP by casting votes for the paddy sheaf symbol.
