Muhammad Hasnat Morshed Bhuiyan has been appointed as the personal secretary (PS) to Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.

He previously served as personal secretary to former adviser of the interim government, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan.

The Internal Appointment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (19 Feb).

According to the notification, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Md Tanvir Hasan Ruman, the order has been made in the public interest and will take effect immediately.

It also stated that the officer concerned will continue in the post of PS as long as the home minister remains in office or expresses the intention to retain a PS.

Muhammad Hasnat Morshed Bhuiyan is currently serving as a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs. A member of the 28th BCS batch, he was appointed PS to Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan on 18 August last year.
