Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has officially imposed a ban on all forms of video recording and content creation within metro rail station premises and inside trains without prior approval from the authority.
The directive was announced in a special public notice issued on Wednesday (February 25).
The notice, signed by DMTCL Director (Administration) AKM Khairul Alam, clearly states that any form of filming within metro rail facilities without permission, will now be considered a punishable offense.
The restriction specifically applies to the production of short videos for YouTube or other social media platforms, live streaming, as well as photography and video shoots conducted for commercial or personal purposes.
Authorities have instructed passengers and content creators to obtain prior approval before engaging in any such activities within metro rail premises.
The notice stated that if anyone carries out such activities without prior approval from the authority, necessary administrative and legal action will be taken in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
