Reshuffle in six more Army posts

The Bangladesh Army has reshuffled positions of six senior officers, days after eight other officers were given new duties.

The Army Headquarters has ordered the latest reshuffle, said sources at the Ministry of Defence.

As per the order, National Defence College (NDC) Commandant Lt Gen Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been appointed as Quartermaster General (QMG). At NDC, he has been replaced by Lieutenant General Mohammad Faizur Rahman, who previously served as QMG.

Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Commandant Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez has been transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and replaced at MIST with outgoing adjutant general Major General Md Hakimuzzaman.

Major General Hossain Al Morshed, the general officer commanding (GOC) of the 19 Infantry Division in Tangail, has been appointed as the adjutant general.

Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, GOC of the 66 Infantry Division in Rangpur Cantonment, has been given the position of GOC of the Dhaka Cantonment Logistics Area.

Major General Muhammad Mostagousur Rahman Khan, the outgoing GOC of the Logistics Area in Dhaka Cantonment, has retired.

On Sunday, the Army Headquarters reshuffled key posts including the Chief of General Staff (CGS), Principal Staff Officer (PSO), at the Armed Forces Division, and Director General of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI).

Lt Gen Mainur Rahman, previous GOC at ARTDOC, was appointed CGS; Maj Gen Mir Mushfiqur Rahman was appointed PSO at the Armed Forces Division; and Brig Gen Mohammad Kaisar Rashid Chowdhury was appointed the chief of DGFI.
