Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Police Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali has submitted his resignation, citing family reasons.
He signed the resignation letter on Wednesday noon and forwarded it to the Police Headquarters, according to official sources.
The resignation comes a day after a reshuffle at the top of the police administration, including changes to the post of inspector general of police.
