Nuruzzaman Liton, general secretary of Sharsha upazila BNP and a nomination aspirant for Jashore-1 (Sharsha) constituency, carried out daylong mass communication in Putkhali union on Wednesday.

He went door to door, inquiring about the wellbeing of villagers and seeking votes for the BNP’s electoral symbol, the” Dhaner Shis”.
During the campaign, Liton sought prayers for BNP founder and martyred president Ziaur Rahman, wishing him eternal peace in heaven. He also urged everyone to pray for the speedy recovery of the party’s chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.

Calling for support in the upcoming election, he appealed to voters to cast their ballots for the paddy sheaf to bring BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman to power as the next prime minister.

Among others present during the campaign were Sharsha upazila BNP senior joint general secretary Mostafa Kamal Mintu, Benapole municipality BNP organising secretary Akhtaruzzaman, vice-presidents Atikuzzaman Sani and Abdul Majid, Putkhali union BNP president Mafizur Rahman, general secretary Abdul Kader Khan, senior vice-president Kamruzzaman, Benapole municipality Jubo Dal convener Mofizur Rahman Babu, Sharsha upazila Chhatra Dal convener Shariful Islam Chayan, senior joint convener Mohaieminul Sagor, and Benapole municipality Chhatra Dal convener Arifur Rahman Arif.

A large number of leaders and activists of local BNP and its front organisations, along with residents of the area, joined the programme, turning it into a lively gathering.
