Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Prof Mia Golam Porwar has said the upcoming national election will be a psychological battle between “killers, extortionists, and musclemen” and new young voters.
Speaking as chief guest at a student–youth rally in Dumuria on Friday morning, he called on the young generation—who, he claimed, had already rejected fascism—to lead a “ballot revolution” to build a humane and just Bangladesh.
Porwar pledged that if Jamaat is given the chance to serve, it will address unemployment through job creation, stipends for the jobless, and expansion of technical education.
He also outlined plans to turn Dumuria into a business hub, resolve waterlogging in the Bil Dakatia area, and modernize local education institutions.
