Brazilian envoy meets Jamaat chief for talks on bilateral ties

Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh Paulo Fernando Dias Feres paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his office in Dhaka’s Bashundhara area on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides held open discussions on bilateral relations, areas of mutual cooperation, development priorities and shared interests between Brazil and Bangladesh.

Ambassador Feres reaffirmed Brazil’s support for Bangladesh and expressed hope that the friendly ties between the two countries would continue to grow stronger in the coming days.

He also inquired about Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s health and wished him a swift and full recovery. The meeting was attended by Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council member Mubarak Hossain and Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Ameer, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
