The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday issued arrest warrants against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and top officials of different forces taking all allegations ofenforced disappearanceinto cognizance.
The ICT-1 issued this warrants.
Earlier this morning, two formal charges have been submitted to the ICT-1 against Sheikh Hasina and 13 others. Later, the tribunal took the charges into cognizance.
Five allegations have been brought against Hasina and her security and defence adviser Tarique Ahmed Siddique and 15 others in one charge, while 13 individuals, including Hasina, have been accused in another.
Chief Prosecutor Tazul Islam said two separate sets of formal charges were submitted to the registrar of the tribunal.
