The average pass rate in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations stands 58.83 per cent.
In a comparative overview of this year’s results, Dhaka Education Board leads among the nine general education boards in terms of pass rate, while Comilla Education Board lags behind.
This year, 64.62 per cent students passed in Dhaka, 59.40 per cent in Rajshahi, 48.86 per cent in Cumilla, 50.20 per cent in Jashore, 52.57 per cent in Chittagong, 62.57 per cent in Barishal, 51.86 per cent in Sylhet, 57.49 per cent in Dinajpur and 51.54 per cent in Mymensingh board.
The average pass rate of the Madrasah Education Board is 75.61 per cent. A total of 4,268 students achieved the highest grade of GPA-5.
In 2024, 77.78 percent of students passed the HSC exams and 145,911 received a GPA-5.
