Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has assured that whatever verdict the tribunal delivers on Monday will be fully implemented.
He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a meeting with senior law enforcement and field administration officials held at Barishal Police Lines on Sunday (16 November).

Jahangir said that the field administration has been reorganised ahead of the upcoming elections. “The current law and order situation is neither very good nor very bad; it is at a moderate level,” he added.

He emphasised that strict instructions have been issued to prevent any violence or untoward incidents in connection with the elections.

“The country is now election-focused, and the overall law and order situation is generally satisfactory,” the Home Affairs Adviser noted.
