Remittance inflow crosses $2.13bn in 22 days of Nov

Bangladesh received US$2.13 billion in remittances during the first 22 days of November, according to updated figures released by Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.

This brings the total remittance inflow for the current fiscal year (FY 2025-26) to $12.28 billion between July 1 and November 22, reflecting a 14.7 percent increase from $10.17 billion in the same period last year.

On average, the country received about $97 million per day in remittances during this period. Private commercial banks received $1.48 billion, state-owned banks $424 million, specialised banks $218 million, and foreign banks $4 million.

Bangladesh Bank data also shows steady monthly inflows in recent months: $2.48 billion in July, $2.42 billion in August, $2.68 billion in September, and $2.56 billion in October.
