Coronavirus: Nationwide vaccination starts

Health Minister Zahid Maleque inaugurated nationwide COVID-19 vaccine campaign on Sunday morning at a virtual event at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the capital.
Some 1,015 centres will administer the vaccine.
The minister said the campaign will continue throughout the year.
He is scheduled to take the vaccine shot at Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital.
The DGHS informed that some 3.28 lakh people got registered to receive a shot until 2:30 pm on February 6.
A total of 2,400 teams in Dhaka and outside the capital would be deployed across the country.
On January 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the COVID-19 vaccination programme at Kurmitola General Hospital through a videoconference.
