Guruji Sarbajit Chandra Sutradhar of Bangladesh has once again elevated the nation’s sporting pride by serving as an international kickboxing trainer at the 7th West Bengal State Kickboxing Training Camp 2025 in India. The camp, organised by the West Bengal Sports Kickboxing Association, took place from 1st to 4th August 2025.
Sarbajit, invited as a distinguished guest and international trainer, conducted comprehensive training sessions throughout the event. This marks his second time leading such a programme on Indian soil, affirming his stature as the first Bangladeshi to serve as an international kickboxing trainer abroad.
Beyond his kickboxing credentials, Guruji Sarbajit holds numerous leadership roles. He is a member of the ad-hoc committee of the Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation and the founding General Secretary of the WYF Bangladesh Yoga Federation. He also founded and serves as chief instructor at both the Jaminy Academy of Martial Arts and the Jaminy Academy of Yoga.
Internationally, he represents Bangladesh as the Head Yoga Coach in the World Yoga Federation and acts as Joint Secretary of the Yoga Council of Asia. His contributions to physical culture and wellness have earned him accolades such as the Yoga Ratna Award and the Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award from India.
At the conclusion of the training camp, certificates were ceremoniously distributed to the trainees by Bishwanath Roy, General Secretary of the West Bengal Sports Kickboxing Association, alongside Guruji Sarbajit.
A former national gold medallist and WAKO Asian Championship medallist, Guruji Sarbajit continues to inspire through both his competitive legacy and dedication to training the next generation of martial artists across borders.
