Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul has said that the number of tribunals could be increased to accelerate proceedings of July genocide.
”Once the adjacent tin-shed building next to the International Crimes Tribunal premises is vacated, it could be used to set up Tribunal-3.”
Speaking to reporters after inspecting renovation works at the main building of Tribunal-2, he made this remark.
Dr Nazrul mentioned that judges, along with the prosecution and investigation teams, are working with great sincerity on cases related to crimes against humanity.
”We are giving the highest priority to the trial of crimes against humanity. We are committed to ensuring justice for all crimes committed by the previous government, including killings, enforced disappearances and torture.”
