A court in Barguna on Tuesday ordered to send 12 Awami League-backed lawyers to jail rejecting their bail petition in a case filed over vandalising and torching BNP office in the district.
Barguna District and Sessions Judge Md Saiful Rahman issued this order after the 12 lawyers sought bail surrendering before the court today.
According to the case statement, on March 17, 2023, accused Awami-backed lawyers, equipped with lethal weapons, brought out a procession and later attacked on the district BNP office. They made vandalism there and burnt down the valuables of that office.
