Bangladesh skipper Liton Das lost the toss and asked to bat first against Sri Lanka in their second Asia Cup match.
Speaking ahead of the match, pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib said, “Our approach is very straightforward — we go to the field to win. The series victory in Sri Lanka gives us belief.”
Bangladesh made one change from their previous XI, with pacer Shoriful Islam replacing Taskin Ahmed.
