48,000 police personnel receive polls training

A total of 48,134 police officers have completed training, out of 1,50,000, ahead of the national election.

Multiple security forces involved in maintaining law and order, including the Army, police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Ansar, have been conducting training from their respective positions for over two months.

The least 1,50,000 police personnel are expected to serve on the ground during the upcoming parliamentary election, according to the Police Headquarters press release on Tuesday.

It said, to enhance the skills and capability of police members for professional duty during the upcoming national parliamentary election, 48,000 police personnel have received election training so far. Prior to this, a Training of Trainers course on this training was held from August 31 to September 2.
