Three judges are being appointed instead of one at each legal aid office to reduce the pressure of case, said Law Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul on Sunday.
”We are taking various initiatives to reform the judiciary and the public will certainly benefit from these efforts.”
The adviser came up with this development while responding reporters after inspecting the activities of the Rajshahi District Legal Aid Office.
”For this purpose, 12 legal aid offices across the country have been selected under a pilot project.”
Reiterating the government’s determination, Asif Nazrul said , ”There is no issue that could delay the elections. The national elections will definitely be held. All necessary steps will be taken to create a festive atmosphere for the polls.”
Although statements from political parties might create public doubts about whether the election will be held on time, the adviser said, there is no reason for concern.
