The fourth round of the 27th National Cricket League (Four Day) 2025–26 began today, with Barishal taking on Rangpur at the Shahid Chandu Stadium (SCS), Bogura. Barishal were bowled out for 196 in 52.4 overs, despite a fighting knock from Fazle Mahmud Rabbi, who top-scored with a composed 80 off 133 balls. Earlier, Mohammad Salman Hossain Emon contributed 27 off 58, but regular wickets prevented Barishal from building substantial partnerships.

Rangpur’s bowling unit dominated the innings, led by Robiul Hoque, who claimed an impressive five-wicket haul, dismantling Barishal’s middle and lower order.

In reply, Rangpur reached 43 for 2 after 20 overs at Day 1 stumps. While they lost two early wickets, Nobin Islam (21 off 63) and Naeem Islam (6 off 28) remained unbeaten, steadying the chase and preparing to resume the innings on Day 2.
