The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, paid a courtesy call on Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, chief of naval staff of the Bangladesh Navy, at Naval Headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday.

He was accompanied by Brig Imran Yousaf Choudry, defence attaché at the Pakistani High Commission, Bangladesh Navy said in a statement.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. They also exchanged views on expanding mutual professional cooperation, particularly in areas of defence engagement and maritime interests.

The courtesy call reflected the continued diplomatic and military-to-military interactions between the two nations.
