Al-Nassr secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Istiklol in their AFC Champions League Two Group Stage clash at Hisor Central Stadium, Tajikistan, on Wednesday.
The win solidifies Al-Nassr’s position at the top of Group D with 15 points, while Istiklol remain in fourth with 6 points.
The visitors opened the scoring early in the 12th minute when João Félix converted a penalty, setting the tone for the match.
Mohamed Simakan doubled the lead in the 40th minute with a powerful header. In the second half, Sadio Mané extended the advantage in the 84th minute, followed by a late goal from Aiman Yahya in stoppage time at 92’.
Istiklol struggled to create clear chances despite their 5-4-1 formation and goalkeeper Nikola Stosic was kept busy throughout the game.
Joseph Okoro received a yellow card in the 18th minute for a foul, while Sultan Al-Ghannam was booked for Al-Nassr in the 90th minute.
