Primary students across the country will receive new textbooks in January next year, said Primary and Mass Education Adviser Prof Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters at the Bhola Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday (November 29), he said, ”Most books have already reached the district level. So distribution to students will start in the first week of January.”
Teachers are the important personnel of of primary education. Regarding teacher promotions and pay grades, Dr. Poddar said headteachers have been upgraded to 10th grade and efforts are underway to promote assistant teachers to the 11th grade.’Instructions have been given to repair the primary schools those will be considered as polling stations.”
He also attended a view exchange meeting held at Zila Parishad hall room about 11:30AM.
