Bangladesh Under-19 Women drew level in the five-match T20 series after a superb four-wicket haul from Habiba Islam Pinky set up a three-wicket victory over Pakistan Under-19 Women in the second match at the Cox’s Bazar Academy Ground on Friday.
Pakistan, sent in to bat, were kept on a tight leash from the outset as Pinky’s disciplined spell of 4 for 17 dismantled the middle order and restricted the visitors to 80 for 7. Komal Khan (28 off 42) and Zoofishan Ayyaz (17 off 27) provided brief resistance, but once they fell, Pakistan’s innings lost direction.
Bangladesh’s chase was far from straightforward, with wickets tumbling at regular intervals. But Sumaiya Akther Suborna’s composed 32 off 38 balls anchored the innings, guiding the hosts to 81 for 7 within 19 overs to seal the win.
Aleesa Mukhtiar and Memoona Khalid claimed two wickets apiece for Pakistan, but the modest target proved insufficient.
