The Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin is going to meet Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, ahead of the announcement of the schedule for the 13th parliamentary polls.

After the Commission’s meeting on Sunday, the CEC and four election commissioners – Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Begum Tahmida Ahmad, Md Anwarul Islam Sarker, and Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah – set off for a courtesy meeting with the chief adviser at his official residence, Jamuna, in Dhaka.

Abdur Rahmanel Masud said, “Today we will pay a courtesy call on the chief adviser. Various matters will be discussed. After that, we are scheduled to meet the president on 10 December.”

Following the meeting with the president, the election schedule will be announced on any day in the second week of December.
