Bangladesh to kick off campaign against Afghanistan

Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team will begin their Asia Cup campaign on 13 December with an opening match against Afghanistan at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Placed in Group B, the young Tigers will also face Nepal on 15 December at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai and Sri Lanka on 17 December, again at the ICC Academy. Group A features India, Pakistan, Malaysia, and hosts United Arab Emirates.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for 19 December, with the final set for 21 December at the ICC Academy.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad for the tournament on Monday via a media release. Regular captain Azizul Hakim Tamim will lead the side, with top-order batter Zawad Abrar serving as vice-captain.
