The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has instructed to take annual examination, cancelling the winter vacation which is scheduled to begin from December 11.
A letter was sent to Directorate of Primary Education on Tuesday in this regard.
It states that in order to complete the final evaluation in government primary schools, arrangements should be made to cancel winter vacations for some days and conduct examinations from December 11-15 (except Fridays and Saturdays) in schools where it has not been possible to do so.
The winter vacations were scheduled to begin on December 11. However, due to new guidelines, the vacations on December 14 and 15 have been canceled.
Earlier, the government primary school assistant teachers have observed work abstention programme to press home their three-point demand, cancelling exam duties, which delayed the annual exams.
