BPL 2026: Nasir’s blitz powers Dhaka to victory over Noakhali

Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hossain stole the spotlight as Dhaka Capitals ended their losing streak and handed Noakhali Express their fifth consecutive defeat in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Nasir’s blazing innings of 90 not out propelled Dhaka to a seven-wicket victory, lifting the team after three consecutive losses following their opening win of the tournament.

Noakhali batted first and managed 133 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.In response, Dhaka chased down the target in just 34 balls with seven wickets in hand.

After losing two early wickets, Dhaka’s hopes rested on the second-wicket partnership, where Nasir Hossain took charge.
He tore through the opposition’s bowling during the powerplay, scoring 50 runs off just 21 balls; making it the fastest fifty of this season, surpassing the previous record of 23 balls held by Kyle Myers of Rangpur Riders against Chattogram Royals.

Nasir remained unbeaten on 90 from 50 balls, while Imad Wasim contributed an unbeaten 29 runs, guiding Dhaka Capitals to a comfortable win.
Noakhali struggled early, losing their top five batters for just 40 runs.

Captain Haidar Ali and Mohammad Nabi steadied the innings with a sixth-wicket partnership of 90 runs; Haidar scoring 47 off 36 balls and Nabi remaining unbeaten on 42 from 33 deliveries.

Maz Sadakat added 24 off 19 balls, but no other batsman managed a double-digit score.
Dhaka Capitals’ bowling was evenly spread, with six bowlers taking a wicket each to restrict Noakhali to a modest total.
