DU ‘B’ unit result published; pass rate only 7.29%

The results of Dhaka University’s ‘B’ unit admission test, which includes Arts, Law and Social Sciences faculties for the 2025–2026 academic year, reveal a highly competitive scenario with a pass rate of just 7.29%.

Out of 1,03,611 candidates who appeared for the test to compete for 2,934 seats, only 7,553 candidates were successful. Of the successful candidates, 4,109 came from the humanities group, 2,981 from the science group and 463 from the business studies group, said a press release from the university’s Public Relations Office on Tuesday.

The admission test was held on December 13 last year. Candidates can check their results on the university website at admission.eis.du.ac.bd or via SMS by sending DU ALS <roll no> to 16321 from Grameenphone, Banglalink or Teletalk numbers.

Successful candidates are required to fill in the detailed form and submit their subject preferences between 3:00 PM on January 27 and 3:00 PM on February 5.

Applicants applying under quotas must collect and complete the relevant forms from the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences within the first five days of February and submit them in the same period.

Those wishing to apply for result rechecking can do so at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Social Sciences from January 21 to 27 upon payment of the required fee.
