A discussion meeting and prayer gathering was held seeking the eternal peace of the departed soul of BNP Chairperson, former prime minister and a symbol of national unity, Begum Khaleda Zia.

The programme was organised by Ward No. 5 BNP and its associate and affiliated organisations under Kaiba Union No. 7 of Sharsha upazila.

BNP-nominated candidate of the “Sheaf of Paddy” for Jashore-85/1 constituency, Alhaj Nuruzzaman Liton, attended the event as the chief guest.

Special prayers were offered during the programme seeking the welfare of the country and the nation, the restoration of democracy, and the forgiveness of the late leader.

Among others present were Sharsha Upazila BNP Senior Vice-President Advocate Mostafa Kamrul Mintu, Organising Secretary Miyad Ali, former chairman Rabiul Islam, and leaders and activists of the party and its associate bodies.
