Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuz Alam has hailed martyred President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman as the “architect of qualitative change in Bangladesh,” praising his transformative role in the nation’s socio-political and cultural development.
He made the remarks while inaugurating the registration for Natun Kuri 2025, Bangladesh Television’s revived talent hunt for children and adolescents.
“Natun Kuri was first launched during Ziaur Rahman’s time—a program that empowered young talent and enriched our cultural life,” Mahfuz Alam said. “But it was later scrapped by the Awami League government for political reasons.”
He emphasized that recognition should go where it is due. “Shaheed Ziaur Rahman brought real change. He deserves full respect for shaping modern Bangladesh.”
The advisor said the program is being relaunched to promote cultural values among youth—”beyond politics and partisanship.”
“Natun Kuri is not just entertainment; it’s about nurturing talent and national identity,” he added.
